Owners of the Xperia Play, it's time to curl up with a teddy bear and your popular ice cream -- just as long as it's not in notice board form. After the sudden and unexplained disappearance of the "PlayStation Phone" from the Android 4.0 upgrade list yesterday, Sony has followed it up with a full confirmation accompanied by the usual explanation. As you may have already guessed, the producer

The main reason for this is that most foods that are high in carbohydrates are also high in fats, sugars, or calories in general.
Reducing your carb intake, and replacing highly processed carbs (such as white flour) with whole grains can really cut down on your daily calorie intake.
But one of the major problems encountered on a low carb weight loss program is loss of energy. Carbohydrates are our fastest and most efficient energy source available.
While fat has twice the energy in calories (9 calories per gram) compared to both carbs and proteins (at 4 calories per gram), carbs are generally used up by the body at a much faster rate. Fats, on the other hand, should be thought of as a more long-term energy source.
No matter how you look at it, you have to keep in mind that a low carb weight loss diet requires that some of your carbs be replaced with proteins and fats. So this is where you need to make sure you do things right.
When it comes to protein, make sure you're getting a variety of lean protein sources, such as eggs, dairy, chicken, fish, and nuts. The variety will ensure optimal amino acid support for building lean muscle mass.
I also recommend a good whey protein supplement like Optimum 100% Casein Protein or this sustained-release MHP Probolic-SR Muscle Feeder. Both will help you maintain muscle mass during a low carb weight loss plan, which is the first step to maintaining your energy level.
As for fat intake, try to go healthy whenever possible. This means avoiding saturated and trans fats and going for healthy, monounsaturated fats like omega-3's. Eating nuts, avocados, and fish are all great sources of these fats, and they can actually help speed up your metabolism and get you burning some extra calories.
If you don't already, you should be supplementing with a high-quality, natural fish oil supplement to maintain your daily intake of healthy fats. My top recommendation is Optimum Fish Oil Softgels.
The key to increasing fat intake while losing weight is not only eating healthy fats, but also making sure you're burning off those fats as quickly as possible. This means that the intensity and frequency of your workouts should really be at their max.
The Trick to Energy on a Low Carb Diet
The real trick to maintaining a high level of energy on a low carb weight loss diet is timing. Since you're not cutting out all carbs, make sure you eat them at the right time ? right around your workouts. By consuming carbs just before and after a hard workout, you'll ensure that those extra calories are burned rather than stored as body fat.
I also recommend reducing your cardiovascular exercise in order to save some of that energy. If you do too much cardio, your body is going to crave those extra carbs that you're trying to avoid.
And of course, don't be scared to try out a good energy supplement during your workouts. A good energy supplement like USPLabs Jack3d or Gaspari Nutrition SuperPump MAX will not only get you feeling pumped, but it will also give your metabolism an extra boost. This can go a long way to help you in your weight loss goals.

Spruce Ridge?s nine-hole course craftily incorporates 200 acres of Wyoming County countryside into a scenic, 3,131-yard tapestry of fairways and greens. Throughout the round, golfers aim drives down gently rolling fairways, on the edges of which loom undesirable destinations including knee-high fescue grass, ponds, and headquarters for earthworm Mafiosi. Water hazards complicate passage on four holes, including the par 4 seventh, where two ponds hug the left side and contribute to its reputation as the course?s most difficult hole. After rounds, golfers can snag a hot dog at the concession stand to ward off hunger or use as an unconventional putter.

Do Not Track (DNT) is a mechanism originally proposed and adopted by Mozilla. When turned ON in a browser, the browser sends an additional HTTP Header with every request to the servers. This additional header tells servers that the user does not want to be tracked for behavioral advertisements and other tracking purposes.

All leading web browsers, except Google Chrome, have already introduced the option to change the DNT settings. Users of Firefox, Opera*, Safari and even Internet Explorer can turn-on DNT and enhance their online privacy. Maxthon, a not-so-popular web browser, has gone one step forward to turn-on DNT by default for all users ? and there is no option to disable it ? after all who wants to disable it! :)
Chrome has not added support for DNT yet, so there is no direct way to enable Do Not Track in Chrome. But, you can install extensions to bring support for DNT in Chrome.
Thanks to the recently introduced WebRequest extension API of Google Chrome, I have created this browser extension which enables DNT in Chrome.

Install this extension from Chrome Web Store. Once installed, this extension adds DNT HTTP header with every outgoing request. To check and verify DNT setting of your browser, simply visit this link.
(*Current stable build of Opera does not support DNT. Opera 12 ?Wahoo?, which is currently in beta, has option to enable or disable it).

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT)- Richmond Police teaming with the faith community to provide services is a proven successful partnership.?Just this week the program took on a life of its own when faith leaders responded to a homicide on Barton Avenue.
Police Chief Bryan Norwood told NBC12 that response from faith leaders, without a direct invitation, is an exciting piece of the puzzle in terms of fighting crime in the city.?He called it an evolution of this partnership, which was started almost two years ago.
When police found Antoine Saunders shot to death on the sidewalk in broad daylight Tuesday, Pastor Alex Boyd and a handful of faith leaders also rushed to the north side scene to see if they could help Saunders' family and the community cope.
"It's a tragedy," Pastor Boyd told us.?"It's sad that the cream of our crop, our young men especially, are dying on the streets like this."
Police Chief Bryan Norwood told us Thursday, they've been talking about this kind of response for quite some time.
"The sense of urgency from the pastors that showed up and the sense of relief from the community who sought some interaction with those pastors was integral," he said.
It is a special kind of interaction.
"They bring a different level of relief to folks," Norwood explained.?"A uniform prohibits us from having a certain interaction with people. The faith leaders can bridge that gap and do so in a way that calms the neighborhood."
Initially, the Richmond Police Department focused its efforts where it said the need was the greatest.?Faith "walk-thrus" bring employment opportunities, school supplies, health screenings, literacy programs and familiarity to the city's courts.
"We're really investing in our trust account," Chief Norwood said.
He also believes sometimes residents feel more comfortable talking to faith leaders about patrol needs.?By doing that, the message gets passed along to police.
Now, the partners will revisit the courts and also expand to other neighborhoods in need.
"Every other institution has had a shot, right," Pastor Boyd asked.?"So now it's time for the church to step up and reach these young people before these tragedies happen."
If your faith organization wants to partner police or if you'd like them to visit your neighborhood, Chief Norwood said they're accepting all faiths and all requests.?Just contact headquarters.

CANNES, France (AP) ? The Cannes Film Festival rewarded one of its favorite directors Sunday, as Michael Haneke won the top prize for a second time with his stark film about love and death, "Amour."
The Austrian director's powerful and understated film stars two French acting icons ? 85-year-old Emmanuelle Riva and 81-year-old Jean-Louis Trintignant ? as an elderly couple coping with the wife's worsening health.
Cannes jury member Jean Paul Gaultier praised the performances of the two actors and the "incredible connection" they established in the movie.
Haneke said he made the film because "I experienced something in my family that touched me." He thanked his wife and ? in a rare personal comment ? said he had promised her "we would never leave each other, like in the film."
Some viewers were surprised by the movie's frank humanity, coming from a master of tightly controlled cinema whose movies often contain sudden bursts of violence.
The director said his reputation for delivering shocks was unjust.
"Journalists always try to stick a label on directors," he said. "For a long time I've been the expert in violence."
But he said a film's style should match its subject matter, not its director, and "this film is about love."
Haneke has brought 10 films to Cannes over the years, including "Funny Games" and "Hidden." He previously won the Palme in 2009 for "The White Ribbon," and is only the seventh director to take the top prize twice.
The festival jury awarded the second-place Grand Prize to Matteo Garrone's Italian satire "Reality," while Ken Loach's whiskey-tasting comedy "The Angels' Share" won the third-place Jury Prize.
Both have won Cannes prizes before ? Garrone took the Grand Prize for "Gomorrah" in 2008 and Loach won the Palme d'Or in 2006 for "The Wind That Shakes the Barley."
Mexico's Carlos Reygadas was named best director for his surrealism-tinged family story "Post Tenebras Lux."
The best actor prize went to Mads Mikkelsen as a man ostracized by his small-town community when he is accused of child abuse in "The Hunt."
Jury member Ewan McGregor said Mikkelsen had given a beautiful performance whose "wonder is in the subtlety ... but with complete conviction with his character."
Best actress was won jointly by Cristina Flutur and Cosmina Stratan, as friends separated by faith in Romanian movie "Beyond the Hills." Cristian Mungiu's drama of love and faith in a remote Romanian monastery also won the award for best screenplay.
The prize winners were chosen from among 22 contenders by a jury, led by Italian director Nanni Moretti, that included actors Ewan McGregor and Diane Kruger, director Alexander Payne and fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier.
Moretti revealed that none of the winners had been a unanimous choice, with several films sharply dividing the jury.
He said the biggest fights had been over Leos Carax's bizarre and episodic "Holy Motors," Ulrich Seidl's sex tourism drama "Paradise: Love" and Reygadas' "Post Tenebras Lux," whose title means "light after the darkness."
British director Andrea Arnold, a juror, said it was a film "which dared to fail and be brave about life."
The 12-day festival has seen plenty of glamour, with the likes of Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart appearing both on-screen and on the red carpet.
But in the movies, weighty themes dominated at an event whose French Riviera froth was subdued by several days of unseasonable rain and cold.
Despite a strong American flavor to the festival, U.S. films were shut out apart from Benh Zeitli's "Beasts of the Southern Wild," which won the Camera d'Or for best first film.
The jury overlooked Pitt, who plays a cynical mob enforcer in Andrew Dominik's "Killing Them Softly," and Kidman as a Southern femme fatale in Lee Daniels' "The Paperboy."
Payne said it would be wrong to draw any conclusions about the state of a nation's cinema "based on one tiny snapshot."
Other much-praised performances at the festival included Marion Cotillard's tragedy-struck killer-whale trainer in "Rust and Bone," newcomer Paul Brannigan's scrappy Glasgow lad in "The Angels' Share," and Denis Lavant, as a performer who takes on a host of bizarre personas in "Holy Motors."

Trev Meaney
Biography: Trev Meaney is a spoken word/performance poet with 10 years of performance training and experience, including a BA (Hons) Drama and Creative Writing. He?processes a fast paced style with plenty of humour and ranges from political, to social observations to the damn right ludicrous. He has worked on many creative/artistic projects?as well as having performed at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Kendal Calling Festival, Manchester Comedy Festival, Kendal Brewery Arts Centre, as well as for the Saatchi Gallery, plus many more. He also looks forward to performing at the Cheltenham Poetry Festival and the Cloudspotting Festival this year. In 2011 Trev won the open mic prize slam at Spotlight Lancaster and was published in ?Poetry Rivals? ? Forward Poetry?s end of year anthology. Born in his beloved southern Ireland he has lived in the wonderfully historical city of Lancaster for many years now.
Introduction: The LWH theme for May is Place.? Trev Meaney?s tremendous poem, Eire to me,?is the seventh and final of a collection of Place pieces commissioned by the Pretend Boss.?Trev has written about Ireland and there?s a video of?him performing?his poem if you click on the title or HERE (sorry if the syncing is a bit out).
Also, Trev agreed to be interviewed.? Part 1 of the interview is below and Part 2 will appear in an hour.
I particularly like?Trev because he?s observant, sensitive and?fall-over funny.? I also like him because he laughed?loudly at? something I was reading once (it was meant to be funny) and then came to me afterwards to tell me how much he?d enjoyed the story. Yes, he is that sensitive and yes, I am that shallow. However -?a word?to the wise?-?NEVER agree to be on stage after Trev Meaney; you might as well go home and?shampoo your tea-cosy collection.
KM. Hello Trev. Thank you for speaking to me. First of all, congratulations on being appointed Lancaster Library Poet in Residence!? I attended you first soiree, which was a sensational talent-fest.? What other plans do you have for the library?
TM. Thank you very much! Also thanks for coming along. I have many plans for the library but I am concentrating more on live poetry events, to give both established and less established poets a platform to show their poetry. It?s also an opportunity to showcase the wealth of talent Lancaster has as well as surrounding areas. I am also going to organise some open mic nights. However my partner and I, are expected our first child so I have to hold fire on organising events for a little while. I am also taking an active part in reading groups and working with high schools within the library.
KM. Many congratulations. Babies are the best thing! I hope all goes well. I believe you studied Drama and Creative Writing; where?
TM. Yes that?s right! I studied BA Hons Drama as my major and creative writing as my minor. It was at St Martin?s College, now known as the University of Cumbria.
KM. That?s where I did my Creative Writing degree, too! How spooky! (what with us having nearly the same initials and all). Some people are sceptical about whether creative writing can be taught; would you advise aspiring writers to go to university to learn about the craft? (do you think craft sound a bit poncey??)?
TM. I?m not sure to be honest. All I can say is, yes I did study, therefore I should have learnt the art of writing creatively. However, I didn?t really commit to studying whilst at uni but more so committed myself to lots of late nights and work related avoidance tactics. Perhaps I subconsciously picked up a few techniques up along the way but apart from that, what I have in regards to being creative is basically as they say ?au natural? (in the beauty industry?) and as for writing, grammar, punctuation etc, I probably learnt the basics at school, but then again I wasn?t half cooked through out that period of my life. I reckon if you apply yourself to a creative writing course you will most definitely be taught the fundamental rules and skills, but then it?s up to the individual.
KM. Have you always written?
TM. I used write, very much in secret and would have been horrified had anyone clapped eyes on my poems. It was a case of scribbling some words on a scrap of paper, wondering how profound it might sound and not actually feeling something that was true to me. I used to think ?Oh no, this will never be accepted?there?s not enough references to winter or blossoming violets and a lack of ?clever? words?. I almost felt ashamed, not good enough, not wise enough! But then I saw performance poetry! I discovered incorporating my drama training with my poetry gave me the confidence to express my words. Now I seem to get a bit aroused by the site of a pen and paper.
KM. Gosh! And are there particular individuals who have influenced your writing career?
TM. I?m very much a fan Irish author, Roddy Doyle. I love how everything he describes is jammed packed with comedy, poignancy, sentiment, and general Irish-ness. But that?s a far as it goes really.? I Enjoy a wide spectrum of authors and writers, but mainly to just have a gander at. What I find most influential is my surroundings, the people I see who walk around, unassumingly doing their business whilst I observe. The North is full of potential writing material.
KM. I know ? you can?t take three steps without tripping over inspiration can you?
to be continued?

ISLAMABAD: ?Who are these people who have enforced these disappearances? Is there no rule of law or respect for the Constitution in this land?? asked Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, the chief of the main opposition party, as he addressed a conference on Balochistan held in Islamabad on Saturday.
?The Baloch have a right to rebel ? why shouldn?t they, after all that they have been put through?? remarked the PML-N chief, one of the most vocal leaders at the conference, as he called bringing Nawab Akbar Bugti?s murderers to justice.
?His body was desecrated ? while his murderers were presented with a guard of honour,? said Sharif as he referred to former President Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf?s dictatorial regime. ?Does anybody have the courage to hold him responsible??
Top leaders of major political parties were in attendance at the National Conference on Balochistan, organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), as they called for a dialogue with all stakeholders in order to solve the province?s problems.
A fifteen-point resolution aimed to resolve Balochistan?s problems was passed unanimously at the conference. The resolution calls for an end to the ongoing military operation in the insurgency-hit province, and the withdrawal of military and paramilitary troops from Balochistan.
While some leaders blamed military dictators, others called for addressing the issue of missing persons in Balochistan.
In his opening remarks, SCBA President Yaseen Azad said that the main unrest in Balochistan is the problem of missing persons which could only be addressed through parliament by political forces.
Speaking at the same venue, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan stressed that granting ?unconditional amnesty? to Baloch rebels was the only way to resolve the complex problem.
Khan said that the solution lies in the hands of the country?s politicians, and not with military personnel. Moreover, he said that the soldiers were not trained to perform the job of policemen.
On the other hand, PML-Q Secretary-General Mushahid Hussain Syed felt that the ?Balochistan problem? was spreading to other parts of the country and stressed: ?We have to tackle it with a serious sense of responsibility. No one is taking responsibility for deteriorated law and order situation in the province.?
Asma Jahangir, former president of Supreme Court Bar Association, remarked that the solution of Balochistan issue was vested with the political parties and they should take immediate initiatives in that regard.
Qazi Hussain Ahmed, former Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami, was of the opinion that a society could not survive without justice and enforcement of Consttution could ensure all fundamental rights and provincial autonomy.
He said the rights of Baloch people over natural resources should be fully acknowledged.
President National Party Dr. Abdul Malik underlined the imperative need for granting basic rights to the people of Balochistan. ?Balochistan is an integral part of Pakistan and we have to find out solution by dialogue with all the stakeholders.
Deputy Chairman Pakhtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party Abdur Rahim Mandokhel said all problems have been created by the dictatorial regimes and now it is the duty of political leadership to address and resolve them.
President Hazara National Jirga Abdul Qayyum Chengezi said solution of problems was by holding free, fair and impartial elections.
President JUI-F Balochistan Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani was of the view that problems of Balochistan need a united national solution in accordance to the teachings of Islam.
